Would you like to discover one side of Rome that only locals get to enjoy? Come with me for a walk in one of my favourite districts, the charming Testaccio. This neighborhood is very loved by Romans, are you wondering why? Here you can find culture, great food, Italian lifestyle and…. A Piramid!
We will start this walking tour entering the pretty streets of Testaccio, formerly an industrial, working people district, now a lovely neighborhood where students and young professionals like to hang around. The air of Testaccio is uniquely relaxed, you will see.
Walking around, we will encounter surprising street art (you did not expect it in Rome, didn't you?), we will discover how an old slaughterhouse has been converted into a contemporary art museum and we will visit the lively market of Testaccio, where many people that work around here love to have lunch.
We will try some exclusive street food from a Michelin Star chef's stand: here the menu changes everyday depending on the available fresh ingredients, with seasonal recipes for pasta and for Roman fried specialties. We only have to wait to be surprised!
This is a relatively modern district compared with the ancient part of Rome, but it has some delightful corners that I will be happy to show you. I was lucky enough to spend some time living in Testaccio, and I will take care of you as we walk around, so that you will get to love it like I do!
This tour, as well as all of the experiences that I offer, are conceived to be private, sustainable and fully customisable. My priority is to make it an unforgettable experience for you, and to make you fall in love with my city. A small group experience will make it personal and more pleasant for you and more sustainable for the places that we will visit. I will be happy to accommodate any wish or dietary requirement, from vegetarians options to allergy requirements. Every live and online experience that I offer is avalaible in English, Spanish and Italian.
Still have any doubt? Come to Testaccio and you will see them fading!
